We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior project manager to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for the successful execution of high-impact projects within mining technology, HR/SAP systems, etc.
Position Summary: We are looking for a senior project manager with exceptional project and stakeholder management skills to oversee and drive projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of successfully managing complex projects with significant risk to the organisation, effectively navigating challenges, and working with difficult stakeholders to achieve outstanding results. Experience in the mining industry is highly desirable. This position is offered on a short- to medium-term contract basis with the potential for a permanent role based on performance and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage multiple high-risk projects within the mining technology and HR/SAP system domains from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Effectively communicate project goals, objectives, and expectations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in.Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient utilization of resources.Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare detailed status reports for senior management and stakeholders.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and methodologies.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members, promoting professional growth and development.Qualifications: Proven experience as a senior project manager, preferably in HR and/or SAP systems, with a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.Strong expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI).Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk projects and navigate complex organisational environments.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage difficult stakeholders effectively.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.Experience with HR and SAP systems is advantageous but not critical.Experience in the mining industry is highly desirable.Key Competencies: Leadership and decision-making.Risk management and mitigation.Strategic planning and execution.Change management.Conflict resolution.Time management and prioritization.Adaptability and resilience.Why Join Us?
