The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of Surface & underground Structural Mechanical Piping (SMP) and civil works projects across NSW and beyond.
Based out of our Central West NSW branch, this role offers the opportunity to work on eclectic, high-impact projects, with significant responsibility in shaping the company's future growth.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion—on time, within budget, and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving project performance, developing client relationships, and supporting MCA's continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage underground SMP and civil works projects from planning through execution and closure.
Oversee project teams, ensuring alignment with contractual and commercial requirements.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards, ensuring all milestones are achieved.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Provide regular reports on project progress, risks, and opportunities to the Operations Manager and other key stakeholders.
Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of MCA Engineering through effective project leadership.
About You Minimum 5+ years' experience in Project Management, specifically within underground Structural Mechanical Piping (SMP) projects.
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, including contractual and commercial oversight.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate high-performing teams and drive project outcomes.
Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development through to operations.
Experience in underground mining projects is essential.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on delivering quality results.
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain client relationships.
Ability to travel as needed, with flexibility to work across Australia.
A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
