About the opportunitySuburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport.
The Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project and oversee construction.

Key Responsibilities: Taking ownership of specific projects, ensuring expected outcomes are achieved according to agreed deliverables, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.Participating in procurement activities such as tenders, variations, and selection of suppliers.Planning, scheduling, and executing projects in alignment with Project Management Office (PMO) framework and governance.Forecasting and estimating costs and resources for medium- and long-term PMO planning.Engaging with stakeholders to deliver strategic projects and improve the Technology Project Delivery function.Ensuring continual review and improvement of plans, schedules, and tasks throughout the project lifecycle.Developing and overseeing change and communications artifacts for project delivery.Effectively closing completed projects and handing over to operations and support.Qualifications:Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate the project team.Excellent communication skills to convey information effectively to stakeholders.Ability to develop relationships with business and technical resources throughout the project lifecycle.Outstanding project management and continuous improvement skills with attention to detail.Previous experience managing transition and transformation projects.Extensive experience in agile project delivery methodologies.Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects in a construction industry aligned tech-stack.Industry standard project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP) or ability to achieve certification within 12 months (desirable).Exposure to construction industry-related systems and technologies (e.g., digital engineering systems) (desirable).Benefits:Opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking public transport initiative.Collaborative work environment with experts from various fields.Career growth opportunities within a respected authority.Generous leave entitlements and emphasis on work-life balance.Commitment to safety and wellbeing.Training and development opportunities.How to applyPlease click Apply Now to submit your application online, including a resume and a one-page cover letter detailing your interest in the role and how your skills align with the key selection criteria.
