The Digital division enables the delivery of AEMO's obligations through technology and improves outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Digital provides services to internal AEMO business units, employees, contractors, subsidiaries such as AEMO Services Ltd, external government bodies and market participants.
The Portfolio Delivery department is responsible for project management services for digitally enabled projects.
What you will be doing The Senior Project Manager will lead technology projects across AEMO to deliver required outcomes to cost, quality and time expectations.
Work with both internal (AEMO departments) and external teams, consulting with, and drawing on their expertise, to deliver on AEMO strategic goals and meet stakeholder expectations.
You will also be responsible for:
Managing projects to ensure that quality, cost, and time requirements are met.
Such projects often involve complex technical (information technology or electrical engineering) aspects, stakeholder management, vendor management and change management.Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success, and stakeholder expectations are well defined and met.Develop and maintain procedures, policies, and controls to facilitate the achievement of key milestones within the project.Collaborate and work with internal and external teams and partners to develop, track and manage an end-to-end plan.Provide regular executive level status reports, communications and advice on the project, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
Escalate through appropriate channels where required.Evaluate the project and provide feedback to key stakeholders on benefits achieved and opportunities for improvement as part of driving continuous improvement across the business.Manage project financials and report monthly progress on financial metrics.What you will bring to the role Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g.
