This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, including safety, scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement, resources, communications, and risk management.
You will also provide leadership and guidance to project teams and assist the Team Leader in fostering a high-performing work environment.
Your duties will extend to managing the development of contract specifications, conducting tender evaluations, and administering contracts with external design and construction contractors.
You will be tasked with overseeing the safe and successful delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet the approved budget, timeline, and infrastructure specifications.
Simultaneously managing multiple large-scale projects will require your ability to juggle complexity and varying project scopes.
The people you'll join: Based in Brisbane, you will join our Infrastructure Delivery – Major Customers Group within the Delivery & Technical Solutions Division, reporting directly to the Team Leader Major Customers.
What you'll bring: To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, along with significant experience in the development of high voltage transmission infrastructure or a similar field.
Alternatively, extensive industry experience coupled with a relevant qualification will be considered.
You will also have: Extensive experience in coaching and mentoring personnel in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
Possess in-depth knowledge of high voltage power systems, including transmission lines, substations, secondary systems, and telecommunications, allowing you to understand the technical components and their operations.
Proven experience in project and construction management, particularly in the electrical industry, is essential, along with a track record of delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and meeting the required specifications.
