It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.About the roleYou will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing comprehensive project management on all parts of project lifecycle, coordinating diverse teams and stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.Duties and skills involved:Coordinate and manage all building project phases, ensuring quality and suitability of the final product delivered to the client, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction activities.Oversee and coordinate activities of project staff, external consultants, building contractors, managers, and business units to achieve project objectives and client requirements.Provide high-level contract coordination for traditional and non-traditional contract systems, ensuring projects meet scope, time, cost, cash-flow, and quality targets.Interface with clients on operational matters, lead negotiations with stakeholders, and ensure value for money solutions are identified and delivered.Mentor and proactively manage the performance and conduct of your staff, follow quality assurance procedures, and assist in determining fees and billing approvals for services under your control.Additional requirements:Proven knowledge and experience working in the building and construction industry project managementQueensland Drivers Licence - Class C OpenWhilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification (for example, Certifcate IV Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning or Quantity Surveyor) and/or AIPM RegPM or equivalent certification would be highly regardedAll applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.Interested candidates are encouraged to review the below attached applicant guide and role description.
