Accountabilities: The accountabilities of the Senior Project Manager will include but are not limited to:
Supporting the Project Delivery Function and maintenance of the Project Delivery Plan to coordinate and manage all the activities conducted by the Participants and any other Project Stakeholders on the Shorncliffe Pilot Line for the delivery of the ETCS & CRR Tunnel functions.Coordination of the development of an "Integrated Testing and Commissioning Plan" relevant to the Shorncliffe Pilot Line which is consistent with the Integration Strategies.Manage and coordinate the engagement of all the Participants in the resolution of interface issues in respect of the Shorncliffe Pilot LineFacilitate the integrated assurance process for the Shorncliffe Pilot Line in accordance with the Integration Strategies.Facilitate the Transition to Operations process for the Shorncliffe Pilot Line in accordance with the Integration Strategies.Supervising the production of the project plans and schedules.Coordinating project reporting in compliance with the Contract and internal requirements.Contract Administration.Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits. Attending/chairing Project meetings and arrange the preparation of progress reports, performance reviews and commercial reports.Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of continuous improvement.Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of safety.The candidate of choice should bring 5+ years of firsthand experience of:
Proven record delivering complex and international projects +$100 million, in Systems DeliverySignificant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering projects including phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning. Ideally within the rail industry.Training in PMP, Prince 2 or similar Project Management methodology.Initiative-taking, with excellent leadership, organisational, communication and people skills.Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.Experience in the following areas of project management: Customer management, scheduling, planning, critical path analysis, change management, risk management, cost estimation.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
