Long term labour-hire opportunity working with a Tier 1 Federal Government Department Your new company Hays are working with a well-known Tier 1 Federal Government client, who has multiple requirements for Senior Project Managers to deliver inflight and upcoming projects. Opportunities exist and are emerging within the department's corporate applications, infrastructure platforms (including cloud hosting, migration, cyber security, data & analytics), software development, and more. Your new role As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of departmental project(s) following the department's project management methodologies (such as Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid). Additional responsibilities include: Provide guidance and leadership to a multi-disciplinary project team, 3rd party vendors, and/or other departmental teams to deliver projects. Reporting and presenting to Senior Executives, Program/Project Boards, and other governance bodies, Budget and financial management and reporting, and Provide delivery capability across the broader programs of work as directed by the department and/or the Project Management Office. In order to be successful, you'll ideally have: 7 years' experience in the successful management and delivery of ICT-related projects and/or large corporate ICT transformation programs. Ability to adapt to and work across various delivery methodologies (such as waterfall, Agile, Hybrid). Managing technical teams and partnering with multiple vendors to deliver outcomes under tight timeframes. Preparing and presenting reports, artefacts, and documentation for Project Boards, Senior Executives, and other governance bodies. High level interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present and communicate information and expectations to stakeholders at all levels. Personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure within a challenging environment.
