Senior Project Manager

The Suburban Land Agency's Greenfield Team is committed to strong project management, innovation, and quality. We are responsible for managing Greenfield projects from inception to completion. The team has several positions available and seeks highly organised and motivated Senior Project Managers to lead the planning, design, and delivery of projects that optimise the Territory's social, environmental and economic return on land development activities in the ACT.
As a Senior Project Manager, you are part of a small development team and will manage the delivery of sustainable and people-focussed development fronts, neighbourhoods and mixed-use areas through complex land development programs and projects from concept design through to construction completion.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and design of Canberra and have a positive impact on the future Canberra built environment.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
Highly Desirable
Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in a related field such as: Project/Contract Management, Building and Construction Management, Property Law, Built Environment, Greenfield Suburb Design, Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or Greenfield Planning
The successful occupant will be required to:
Hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body (Engineering, Architecture, Project Management) recognised within Australia; or
Hold a relevant building degree; or
Have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately to 06 January 2025, with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
