The Role Are you a Construction Project Management professional with great stakeholder management skills seeking a new challenge?
In this varied role, you will ensure the effective planning, design, documentation, and delivery of approved and proposed capital works projects. You will also provide effective project management services for nominated projects, including the preparation and management of contracts.
In this role you will:
Represent the City of Greater Bendigo in client-side project management for construction-related projects undertaken on community and civic assets.Apply project management expertise and effectively manage projects throughout the project's life cycle, including but not limited to the preparation of project scopes and specifications, design management, stakeholder consultation, construction tender briefs, review of submissions, and subsequent contract administration.Undertake desktop and site analysis investigations to determine requirements for statutory approvals and other elements, such as required utility upgrades.Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.Review construction plans, specifications, and associated documents to ensure they align with the project scope and objectives.Manage the project's design requirements by effectively engaging in working group meetings and documenting design briefs with service leads and client representatives.Manage the project's financials, including review and processing of progress claims, contract variations, and forecasted costs.About You As the successful candidate you will have:
Demonstrated experience in the development, management, and delivery of capital works projects (construction), including preparing scope of works and tender briefs.Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and gain support.Financial management experience, including management of expenditure against budget and financial reporting.We offer:
