The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project delivery professional, with experience across both the commercial and technical aspects of project delivery. The Senior Project Manager will join a growing team of highly motivated engineers and technical specialists to develop and deliver major complex transmission infrastructure projects across the entire project lifecycle from procurement to practical completion.
Leading a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of existing and new transmission projects that form part of VicGrid's broader program of works. You will also have a unique opportunity to shape the development and implementation of the project management framework within VicGrid.

What you will deliver Provide your technical expertise and lead in the development and delivery of large linear complex transmission infrastructure projects to time, cost, scope and quality.Build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, including influencing and negotiating with contractors to resolve complex commercial matters.Active and collaborative management of contracts, monitoring contractor progress and negotiating variations, claims and other matters.Thoughtful and active leadership, guidance and development of a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of high performance, safety first, inclusiveness to meet project objectives.What you will bring A degree qualification and a significant track record successfully delivering large complex infrastructure projects with a broad range of contracting models and diverse stakeholders, preferably within the energy sector;Specific energy sector experience involving coordination of access and substation hubs will be desirable;Demonstratable delivery experience on large scale civil or electrical infrastructure in coordinating complex multiple stakeholder environments will be beneficial;Proven experience managing diverse internal and external stakeholders, building collaborative relationships to achieve buy-in on complex strategies;Proactive proven experience managing project risk and developing risk mitigation strategies;Well developed people management and leadership skills, leading multidisciplinary teams through cultural and organisational growth is being sought.If you think you have transferable skills, an appetite to learn and would be a great fit, we'd love to hear from you.
