Senior Project Manager - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified RoleJob Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the transition of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Wellbeing provider from a "parent organisation" to an autonomous, independent legal entity. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive change management strategy, ensuring a smooth and successful transformation in line with proposed timeframes. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate organisational, structural, and procedural changes while maintaining alignment with the strategic vision of the new entity.
Experience Required: Experience in organisational change management and development, specifically in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context, preferably in transitioning projects to independent organisations or legal entities.Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Governance across a variety of organisational settings (e.g., Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and Social and Emotional Wellbeing Services).Demonstrated experience in project management, organisational-wide initiatives, and time management skills with the ability to multitask competing priorities and deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to organisational transitions and specific to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context.Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.High level of computer literacy with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.A knowledge of EEO principles and OH&S responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OH&S training.Desirable Criteria: Qualifications relating to components relating to change management (e.g., Law, Business, Project Management).Experience in and knowledge of a variety of University Systems or organisational systems.Experience in the Not-for-profit sector or a Research institute.Please Note: Roles which involve directly providing programs and services to Aboriginal people for the purposes of promoting their welfare are considered to be 'Aboriginal identified roles' and are as such restricted to Aboriginal people only.
