Your new role
As the Project Lead, you will lead key initiatives such as the Fatal Risk Review Program, Critical Control Management Program, Health and Safety Strategy Implementation, and the Fatal Risk and Critical Control Assurance Program. Your role will involve developing and refining bowtie risk assessments, driving ongoing safety improvements, and supporting the creation of Verification of Competency (VoC) assessments and work practice documents to enhance overall safety performance and compliance.
Collaborate with Project Leads, Operations Leads, Project Coordinators, and Safety Partners to develop and monitor health and safety programs in alignment with Ausgrid's Health and Safety Management System.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, license conditions, and industry best practices.Implement measures to evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety policies and processes.Lead transformation initiatives to drive best practices, processes, and systems in health and safety.Review assurance activities to identify opportunities for safety improvements.Evaluate Ausgrid's 10 Fatal Risks and Critical Controls, enhancing their selection, implementation, and ongoing assessment.Foster a positive safety culture by engaging with internal and external stakeholders to embed Critical Controls.Prepare safety updates and recommendations for senior leaders and executives.Collaborate with industry and sector partners to share insights and improve safety performance.Spark our interest!

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.Work independently, take initiative to identify and address actions and own packages of work from end-to-end.Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt the communication style to the targeted audience.Experience in preparing and reviewing documents and reports, with a high level of attention to detail.Work on multiple deliverables in parallel, with the ability to manage stakeholder priorities and timelines.Field experience, particularly in the electrical distribution industry, is a bonus but not essential.Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal matters.Extensive experience in providing a high-quality business/operational support services across the business.Demonstrated analytical thinking with experience in project management and performance measurement and evaluation.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff to facilitate teamwork and collaboration in a diverse work environment.
