We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team, with relevant Building / Building Services background. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.
The Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:
Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
RAAF Base Wagga
The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:
Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
Construction of new training facilities
Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
We are seeking candidates who are eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.
This is a site-based role for the Wagga Wagga area, with relocation packages being offered.
What you'll bring
Australian Citizenship and hold or have ability to obtain Government Security Clearance (must have)
A relevant Engineering Degree with relevant Building / Building Services experience.
Proven engineering experience delivering complex projects of medium to large scale, with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
Development methodologies to ensure compliance with scope of works and technical criteria (within discipline)
Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 3 months ahead, weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost, reporting on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plans.
Development of SHEQ process and procedures and managing others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures.
Candidates must have the ability to travel between sites from time to time.
