Job description Position: Senior Project Engineer / Construction ManagerLocation: Geelong, VICSalary: 120K - 150K + superAbout the Role:Who you are: Analytical. Motivated. Collaborative. Innovative. Your role will report to the Director and manage projects up to 20 million, lead foreman and sub-contractors to deliver multiple projects at a time.Key Responsibilities:Coordinating engineering works and ensuring effective control of technical, inspection, scheduling, planning, and quality aspects of the project.Providing planning and design advice on materials, resources, and construction practices to optimize value for money and achieve project success.Monitoring and managing the operational aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with site-specific management plans.Overseeing documentation flow and ensuring all parties work with current and accurate project documentation.Reviewing subcontractor construction programs and integrating critical areas into the overall project schedule.Managing cost control and preparing project reports to ensure budget alignment and timely delivery.Identifying and addressing risks and opportunities within the project to achieve or exceed budgetary targets.Leading and supporting site staff to foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.The Benefits:Flexible work schedules along with comprehensive health and wellness benefits.Attractive remuneration packages.Welcoming and collaborative team environment with continuous professional growth opportunities.Permanent, full-time employment.About the Client:Our client is a tier 3 / 4 family-owned construction business working with local councils and private developers on car parks, access roads, and school projects. They are a growing business and have increased its staff by 50% in the last 6 months.Key Criteria:A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant tertiary education.Preferably 7+ years of experience in a construction/engineering environment, with relevant construction experience across earthworks, groundworks, edging, retaining walls, and concreting.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate and program actions effectively.Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative work relationships and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organizing work tasks, with high attention to detail.Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and their implementation on-site.Ability to have flexibility on roster and location of project; some shifts will happen on Saturdays and some overnight works may be required.About Us:Fetch Recruitment is an Australian-owned recruitment consultancy, specializing in delivering customized recruitment solutions within the construction, property, engineering, and office support industries.
