Attractive Salary + Benefits + Bonus + HybridTravel across Victoria and work in the great outdoorsCareers with Purpose > Collaborative > Inclusive > Flexible Work EnvironmentWhen you choose AusNet, you'll join genuine people working together, making Real Progress.At AusNet, we're the link between renewable energy sources and local communities, playing a key role in the clean energy transition and providing essential energy to every Victorian family.Help us lead the way, while enriching your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best and make real impact – for your career, our communities, and Australia's cleaner energy future.This role will see you developing front end engineering solutions and/or delivering detailed designs for substations and lines projects across the Projects portfolio.You will work with internal stakeholders, and Design and Installation Service Providers to ensure projects are delivered in a cost-efficient way and to high standards of quality.With a Hybrid split 3/2(Office/WFH), this role is based in our Southbank office, with occasional site visits also required and is part of the Engineering Solutions, Network Operations and Delivery team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Provide technical support into Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet's Electricity distribution networkApply technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projectsDevelop and/or review scopes, detailed design and installation scope of works.Provide technical input into staging, constructability, operability and maintainability (COM) and safety in design reviews.Identify opportunities to develop new, and update existing engineering standardsContribute to the development of scopes and estimates for Distribution network projects ensuring cost effective and constructible business cases can be delivered, including:Supporting the development of project schedules and risk registersProviding engineering input into commercial offers on customer offersContribute to the timely delivery of design projects working closely with Ausnet Project Manager and Design Service Providers, including:Contributing to design tender processes and contract award decision makingMonitoring design progress and design qualityBe a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Project Engineering, as well as your Engineering discipline of experienceYou don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similarDetailed technical knowledge and extensive experience in electricity networks engineeringSimplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers (e.g. summarising key decision-making during delivery of detailed design)Detailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principles with extensive design and construction knowledge covering performance, functionality, operation, maintenance and risksExtensive experience working in substation or lines engineering, project delivery and/or design rolePrimary substation design experience, having worked on Zone-Substation/Terminal station augmentation projects ranging from 22KV and above.Strong understanding of regulatory environment that AusNet operates withinDemonstrated ability to develop, coach, mentor, empower and support colleagues and team members to achieve common goalsProven capability in development of concepts and/or delivery of designsProven ability to build and grow relationships and partnerships across divisions within Ausnet as well as with external suppliers, customers and regulatory bodiesA real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
