Maintain robust control of project scope, schedule, cost, and risk. As part of the new contract with Newmont, Wood will provide consulting and engineering services to enhance the safe and efficient processing of gold across various stages of the project lifecycle, including the delivery of concept and feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction management services. Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Brisbane team in our Minerals & Metals. Join us in the heart of Brisbane CBD in a full-time position. About You This opportunity is looking for those who are interested in building their engineering careers in the resources sector, ready to take on their next challenge working with global leading large-scale projects and portfolio engineering support for sustaining capital work programs. You will also have: Tertiary engineering qualifications from a recognized university within Electrical Engineering. Experience as a Project Engineer, who has worked across portfolio/multiple package management. Prior experience on site with exposure to brownfield packages, depth of knowledge in operations across process and NPI infrastructure. Experience in wet plant processing facilities is desired, but not essential. Experience in the coordination of multi-discipline activities to meet project objectives/timelines, whilst being aware of commercial contractual requirements. Passion for aligning client/project needs in partnership with Wood Project Management principles. Knowledge of standards, procedures, and work practices; following project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution. Ability to lead and mentor internal and external stakeholders to reach project deliverables whilst working in a dynamic and agile environment.
