Fyfes Energy and Resources Group works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist oil and gas, mining, hydrogen and renewable energy projects across the country. These include upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above ground processing facilities, as well as maintenance and construction related work programs. The Opportunity: Our Perth office is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for someone to be responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplined projects and project teams. The role will involve business development, client management, and a high level of involvement in the technical aspects of the projects. This pivotal position will report directly to the WA Division Manager and provide leadership across projects and people management.
Your key responsibilities will include: Managing major projects through concept, feasibility, FEED and detailed design, delivering on time and to budget. Managing and maintaining the budgets, demonstrating effective cost control and expense management. Producing monthly reports, on performance, including projects, risks, governance and design management. Leading a team of technical delivery specialists, including conducting regular performance feedback and embedding individual career development plans. Embedding Project Controls, Contracts Administration, and Cost Planning into Projects systems and processes. Partnering with client facing representatives across Fyfe to ensure full implementation of market and client strategies, creating high levels of client service and opportunity. Fostering client relationships and driving dynamic business growth. Proactively identifying and removing obstacles to team outcomes and collaborating across all areas of the business to achieve this. Developing, shaping and supporting the delivery of team culture to be inclusive and engaging. Your background: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering. Demonstrated experience in a Project Engineering role within the oil and gas or resources industry. Ideally have experience within a consulting environment. Self-motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Experience managing conflicting priorities of work with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and manage stakeholders expectations. Ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Fluent in the use of Microsoft Projects. High energy and a passion for business development and a desire to help shape and grow our agile organisation.
