RMA Civil Construction specialises in a full range of civil construction works across the commercial, government and industrial sectors.

We are currently seeking two experienced Senior Project Engineers to join our team for a range of civil construction projects across Geelong and Greater Melbourne.
Initially, the roles will be based on one of Melbourne's largest infrastructure projects in the Eastern Suburbs.
The Role:Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will provide on-site engineering services as part of a project team, assisting with the planning, programming and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering projects.
You will ensure projects are successfully delivered, within budget, according to contract, and are managed in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Working closely with the Project Manager to manage and track project costs to ensure expenditure is within budget.Have a strong understanding of individual project scope and identify variations to contracts.Manage project timelines and liaising with subcontractors and clients.Secure procurement of major project items including cost benefit analysis.Ensure all variations, credits and delay costs have been costed, documented, approved, and invoiced by the required date for all works being undertaken throughout the month.Ensure all contractual obligations are adhered to for the duration of all projects and undertake all negotiations during works regarding variations and credits for works with the support of the Project Manager and Construction Manager.Liaising with the site supervisors to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.Be able to creatively problem solve onsite issues that arise from design issues, material shortage and alike.Ensure all projects have the required plant, material and labour required for satisfactory job turnover.Implement quality control systems, particularly the preparation of inspection test plans for infrastructure projects.Compile data records for potential claims i.e.
variations /EOT's.Work with Project Team members to determine effective construction methodology, materials, and quality assurance requirements for civil projects.Working with the Project Manager, to ensure the Occupational Health and Safety Plan is implemented and adhered to for all work activities on site.Proficient in safety systems, particularly the use, review and preparation of SWMS, development of Activity Method Statements, excavation permits to work.Assist the Project Manager and Site Supervisors in ensuring the Safe Work Method Statements are written and adhered to in terms of regulatory requirements for all construction site activities.About You:You have demonstrated experience in the civil construction industry in a similar role and have worked on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.
You possess knowledge, experience and skills in delivering projects on time and to budget, ideally in a Tier one environment, meeting the client specifications and expectation, while meeting Australian Standards.
You will also have the ability to collaborate both professionally and effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
You are self-motivated, show initiative, and take accountability and pride in your work.
You possess a solutions' driven work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
To succeed in the role, you will also require:Minimum 7 years Industry ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering, or equivalent Tertiary QualificationExcellent organisational and time management skills.Experience in the Tier One environment, highly desirable.Proficient in contract administration.Current RIW (Rail Industry) highly desirable.Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical with our medical provider.A recent Police Record Check may be required in addition to the ability to legally work within Australia.To Apply:If you have high levels of initiative, are self-driven and enjoy a challenge, we would love to hear from you!
