As a Senior Project Engineer in the Commercial & Industrial Customers (C&I) Energy Solutions Team, you will lead engineering design and technical sign-off for large complex projects and deliver against operational objectives and project deadlines. You will inspire teams to problem-solve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders, and mentor members of the Engineering team in best design and engineering practices, as well as incorporate new innovations and continual improvement into the AGL design standards and ways of working.

What you'll be doing: Developing safe designs for Energy Solution projects (inc. Solar PV and Energy Storage systems) to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards and meet deadlines required for Project Execution.Developing external scope of work for multi-disciplinary engineering services and managing service providers to delivery to these scopes and assisting the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during the installation and adjust designs and drawings, accordingly, communicating with PMs, Installers and Customers as required.Conducting Project Sign-Off and Safety Walks to ensure safe and quality installations as part of the Project Delivery Team and continuously improving operational processes and procedures to increase design accuracy, reduce installation costs and drive product innovation.Mentoring and developing engineers in best practice design processes, relevant industry standards and AGL work practices and values and proactively engaging with expert and industry networks to stay at the forefront of technical and regulatory developments.Ensuring safety in design principles are utilised wherever engineering work may have a downstream impact on the safety of people, property or the environment and managing the investigation of any incidents and near misses arising from project work in accordance with the AGL Incident, Near Miss and Hazard Management Procedure.What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Photovoltaic Engineering and Chartership with Engineers Australia (or actively seeking accreditation), coupled with any additional Accreditations across the Australian Solar Market industry.Experience in design and construction of major industrial and commercial rooftop solar systems up to 2MWp, ground mount solar systems, and integration into LV and HV infrastructure electrical systems and knowledge of products and brands used within energy solutions.Knowledge and experience with design and engineering software (solar modelling and electrical component specification software, NetSuite, Procore and AutoCAD), and Microsoft Office.Well-developed, detail-oriented organization skills and good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.Additional SAA Accreditations (SPS, etc) and Electricians License will be advantageous.Inclusion at AGL At AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
