Water industry experience preferred but not mandatory. The opportunity will allow you to expand your project management skills by supervising construction activities and undertaking project management of small projects. What you bring to your new roleSupport the project manager with delivery of assigned infrastructure projects from concept planning, detailed design and specification through to and including construction and commissioning phase.Provide high level, specialist technical advice in your discipline to the infrastructure projects including drawing reviews, safety in design, site quality inspections and commissioning.Ensure provisions of all relevant legislation, regulations, agreements, standards, policies, and processes are applied and adhered to in projects.Work with designers, contractors and stakeholders to investigate, analyse and problem solve issues to arrive at win-win best for project solutions.Monitor and report on our construction contractor's performance.Manage interfaces between construction and ongoing operations.Mentor junior project officers and engineers within the project delivery team.What's in it for you?Work-life balance is more than just a concept at the City of Gold Coast - it's a way of life. Under the current Certified Agreement, the salary range for these positions are between $111,290.07 to $132,531.46 per annum plus superannuation. This salary range is commensurate with working a 10-day fortnight and may attract an additional, negotiable critical skills incentive payment (CSIP) that is determined based on your qualifications, skills and experience.
