The Opportunity: UGL Utilities division is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who will be initially required to assist with tendering some of the numerous high profile transmission line projects across the region.
This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in Australia's renewable energy transformation and deliver sustainable energy solutions.
On successful completion of the tendering process, you will become a key team member during delivery when you transition to site full time.
Some key responsibilities of this role will include: · Assist in the management of the technical aspects of the tendering process, ensuring bids are competitive and align with client specifications.
· Collaborate with other members of the team and stakeholders to develop comprehensive tender submissions, including health, safety, environmental, technical, commercial and risk assessments to develop accurate cost estimates and timelines.
· Oversee the design and planning phases to ensure feasibility and alignment with project objectives.
· Lead negotiations with suppliers, partners, and other contractors during the tendering phase and beyond, into delivery.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the tendering process.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by refining tendering strategies and processes.
About You: · A degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
· Extensive experience in project engineering, with a focus on tendering or estimating for transmission line or large-scale infrastructure projects.
· Strong understanding of design principles, construction methodologies and cost estimation processes.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· A commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability and having a can-do attitude.
