About us Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with close to 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand.
We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors.
Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the role To support and achieve our growth plans in Queensland, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to work on a diverse range of complex and challenging water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Site supervision - working closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to plan daily activitiesMonitoring project budgets and ensuring costs align with project expectationsCoordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of project workPreparing project documentation, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standardsOverseeing subcontractors and maintaining effective communication with stakeholdersManaging compliance with safety regulationsProviding training and mentorship to Site Engineers and Project EngineersWhat you'll bring to the Team: A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering6+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a focus on brownfield treatment facilitiesExperience managing contractors and coordinating large-scale infrastructure worksStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, safety-first mindsetA natural problem solver and creative thinker who enjoys tackling complex design/construction challenges.Why you should work with us: Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.
