The Opportunity As the Senior Project Engineer for the Belmont Desalination Project, you will be at the forefront of delivering one of Hunter Water's most complex and strategic initiatives. Your role will focus on the concept design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning of the project.
Your responsibilities will include: Deliver Capital Works in accordance with Hunter Water's "Asset Creation Framework" and best practice.Assist the Senior Project Manager to guide and support other Project Engineers and team members.Act as Principal's Representative / Authorised Person for assigned contracts.Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders.Proactively manage safety, environmental, and quality outcomes of projects.Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives.What you'll need to be successful: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.Demonstrated work history in relevant roles, including experience managing capital works projects and programmes of work.Demonstrated experience in engineering investigation, planning, design, and preparation of tender documentation, preferably of water and wastewater infrastructure.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Proven ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation.Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace and to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst still meeting team and corporate deadlines.Class C Drivers licence & Construction Induction card (NSW white card).Demonstrated knowledge of design guidelines and practices for water infrastructure.Qualifications and/or training in project management.At Hunter Water, we offer a range of employee benefits.
