McCosker Contracting are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a project in Gladstone, QLD. In this position you will provide effective engineering capability to achieve completion of contracted works in accordance with client requirements and project plans. This role will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the project engineering team overseeing completion of project tracking, reporting and controls to a quality and timely standard.This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.This position may be required to travel and work on various project sites, where we operate, to support the successful delivery of project and company goals.To be successful in this role:Qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalentCurrent Queensland Open Drivers LicenceGeneral Construction Induction (white card/blue card)Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior level in civil engineering and constructionStrong knowledge of the civil construction standards, including legislation, and associated practicesExperience in managing and applying project management principles in implementing a client programExperience in managing project commercialsAble to liaise, mediate and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholdersExperience managing and providing guidance to a teamCompetent in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and schedulesExperience in a civil based businessAble to develop, implement, and evaluate high quality programsHigh level critical analysis and reporting skillsAbout you:Critical analysis and problem-solving skillsUse of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with peopleAble to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholdersSelf-motivated in the completion of tasksAble to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skillsCapable of accurate, detailed workLead by example, acting ethically and with integrityTreat all people with respectDesire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goalsActively comply with legislation and related policies, procedures, and processesPerform tasks only when competent to do so under the circumstancesCommunicate effectively and maintain a positive imageAbout McCoskersMcCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas and industrial sectors.
