Due to rapid growth and recently awarded high-profile contracts, our Heavy Lift division is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Heavy Lift Project Engineer to join our growing Engineering team based in Victoria Park, WA. If you are interested in relocating from other states of Australia, relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in planning and executing our heavy lift and haul work scopes across a wide range of projects. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will be part of our in-house engineering team, responsible for providing technical support and innovative problem-solving solutions. As a senior, you will also be responsible for the mentorship and support of junior team members to develop their skillset as well as your own. This is a challenging and dynamic role within a diverse operational environment, where excellent interpersonal skills are crucial for success. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a growing team, with opportunities to further develop yourself and take on leadership/management roles such as Technical Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Support internal and external projects, providing strong technical support to identify the best methodologies to safely deliver solutions for our clients Develop Lift/Transport Studies, Workpacks, Drawings, and Calculations as required Provide support and mentorship for junior team members Potential for FIFO engineering support for live projects Adhoc site travel to support project planning and execution Provide technical support on Australian Standards, Legislation, and Codes of Practice Assist in the Development of Procedures for Lift/Shift Operations and Specialized Equipment Design specialized rigging and structural supports Provide structural calculations as required for bespoke steelwork solutions Generate workshop drawings for fabrications Develop project schedules Work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of Tendering, Project Planning, Execution, and HSE Work cooperatively with our Operational team to ensure a collaborative team approach for operational excellence Manage work scope, schedule, and budgets as required Manage relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external Qualifications & Experience Engineering Qualification , preferably degree level in Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering 2D + 3D AutoCAD experience Lift Planning Software such as LICCON / Cranimax / Craneplanner 2.0 Experience working with mobile/crawler cranes (on-site and theoretical) Experience working with SPMT/SPT heavy transport (on-site and theoretical) Previous experience in the Heavy Lift Industry with site experience a plus FEA experience a plus Driver's License
