This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Mining & Energy Major Projects team. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.
As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will join a large and established multidisciplinary project team based at our centrally located Perth CBD office. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a major mining project, valued at more than $1 billion.
What you'll do: Manage multiple electrical supply packages on a large-scale major project.Ensure work undertaken complies with the scope and meets operational requirements.Develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts.Supervise electrical discipline work and ensure it meets quality, cost and time constraints.Monitor progress and identify potential problems in respect of budgets, schedules, engineering standards.Monitor and identify risks and drive implementations of appropriate controls and mitigations.Develop and implement project controls and specifications, schedules and cost estimates.Interface with the client and cultivate positive relations to achieve effective communication and collaboration across teams.About You: You're likely to be an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer with demonstrated experience working on major mining projects.
In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.7+ years of professional experience in electrical project engineering and management.Demonstrated experience in working on engineering projects within the mining industry.Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills.Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and customer requirements.About WSP | Calibre: WSP | Calibre is a leading global engineering and project delivery business to the mining sector.
