This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.
The project scope includes:500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa, up to six new substation sites.We are currently looking for an experienced
Senior Project Engineer Electrical
to join the team onsite.Key Responsibilities:Obtain relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specifications.Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary.Ensure project engineering completion is on time and within budget.
Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings.Accurate forecasts of costs and revenue and utilise corrective action in line with JH's authority and reporting frameworks to maximise the profit margin.Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work.Requirements for this role:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent.Diploma of Project Management in Engineering Science, Building, Construction or equivalent.Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 10 years engineering experience with 4+ years site based.Experience on > $50M Projects.Project Engineer and operational experience.Ideally have experience on transmission or substation projects.What we offer:Great culture that values diversity, innovation, and integrity.Diverse opportunities to grow as a professional.Ongoing training for career progression.Employee benefits, rewards and wellbeing programme.A competitive remuneration.About us:The UGL and CPB Contractors JV for the CopperString 2032 Project brings together the expertise and large project experience of both companies.
