The Opportunity As a Senior Project Engineer you will lead and manage the engineering aspects of major infrastructure projects, ensuring their timely and cost-effective delivery from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and subcontractors, to drive smooth project execution.
You'll play a critical role in overseeing quality control, risk management, and compliance with safety and environmental standards, while leveraging your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to optimize project outcomes.
Key responsibilities: Provides leadership to subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to specifications, while monitoring performance on and off-site.
Manages cost control, ensuring the project meets budget targets, while identifying and forecasting risks and opportunities.
Drives commitment to quality at all levels, ensuring the project team prioritizes defect resolution and implements corrective actions for non-conformances.
Collaborates with designers and clients to solve problems, achieving the best project outcomes, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Oversees project delivery systems and processes, providing input for short, medium, and long-term planning, while reviewing subcontractor programs and integrating critical areas into the project plan.
Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar
Experience as a Project Engineer or Equivalent.
Well-developed leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
