Senior Project Engineer (Civil) - Taswater

About the RoleThe Senior Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and coordination for the design, supply, installation, and testing of TasWater Capital Delivery Office Projects.
The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client.
Assist the Project Manager with compliance to the documentation required under the CDO/UGL Management System.Review and plan the projects with the Team Lead / Project Engineer to ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with the client.Liaise with Project Engineer / Project Supervisor to ensure the job is on schedule.Provide a focal point for all technical-based queries for associated subcontractors/suppliers.Develop scope of works required for RFT (Request for Tender) and RFQ (Request for Quote) documentation ensuring documents include all necessary technical specifications and references.Prepare and manage procurement packages including design, supply, and installation lump sum and schedule of rates.Coordinate with designers and suppliers in the development of design solutions.Oversee the entire project (within disciplines) from an engineering viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to all problems.We support diversity in the workplace.
