The Project Installation Manager - Civil manages all Civil Construction works for the Digital Systems 2 Project – including construction of Signalling Equipment Rooms, Trackside Footings, Undertrack Crossings, and Building Foundations within Sydney Trains brown field areas. Join the team on a 24-month max term contract out of North Ryde, NSW (Office set to relocate early 2025 to central Sydney) from March 2025.
Key Responsibilities Prior to Construction works, supporting the System installation team to control the provisions of the civil works; Ensuring the allocated scope is constructed in conformity with Local Legislation/Compliance, Australian Standards, and the Basic and Detail Designs, the IMS, the QA/QC system and the Time Schedule;Reporting key technical, construction, commercial and planning issues to the Site Operations Manager and coordinate with Design Engineers and/or Project Engineers to resolve the issues;Implementation & tracking/governance of the Change Management process (RFI, DCR, DSI etc), ensuring Project Engineers and Supervisors comply;Developing the 12 and 4-week schedule;Co-ordination with the Civil Contractors and other third parties on Site, if required by the Site Operations Manager;Monitoring EHS performance and implementation of EHS recommendations issued by Site EHS Manager;Ensuring Engineers and Supervisors update SYNCHRO Perform daily with clean data, monitoring progress and productivity daily, and reporting key issues to the Site Operations Manager;Developing and maintaining construction management systems, to ensure construction scope is on track with regards to quality, program and budget.Qualifications + Skills Engineering Degree or equivalent education or experiencesManagement of infrastructure installation subcontractorsKnowledge of railway systems, projects and technologiesSignalling Equipment room construction management, Subcontractor leadershipConstruction on railway projects; Delivery of +$10 million infrastructure projects /infrastructure projects with Tier 1 companies or as Principal Contractor;Civil Engineering background, civil compliance of installations – strong knowledge of TfNSW & Sydney Trains standards;Applications now open until 2 Jan 2025 with shortlisting to commence in the new year, interviews expected in late Jan 2025 - This position will not extend to applications seeking Global mobility.
