Senior Project Engineer - Civil - Fifo

Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as civil, roads, earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.
Our client is a well-established and market-leading national civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Engineer to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc.
You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects, including build earthworks, roads, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation, and rehabilitation.
Typical project values range from smaller projects up to $50m+.
This role is for a project based on a mine site in the Emerald area; the candidate will either live locally or FIFO.
Roster will be 2 : The successful candidate will ideally have experience on civil projects on mining sites or strong civil experience.
The candidate will ideally be a Senior Project Engineer who is able to run the site as the Project Manager when the PM is rostered off.
Years of experience : 5 to 15 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Recruitment and mentoring of teams

Qualifications and Requirements :

Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
5-15+ years' management experience on civil construction projects.
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem-solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
