About the role We are currently seeking a civil senior project engineer to join our Rail Operations hub to work on a regional rail project in Western Australia. This role will operate on a DIDO basis. Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities You will provide support to commissioning activities, tracking costs, subcontractor management, interface with design management and construction delivery team whilst always adhering to Laing O'Rourke's safety policies & procedures. You will also be responsible for the direction, performance and mentoring of the direct report project and site engineers on the project. About you Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering along with construction contracting experience. Experience working on SMP/civil construction projects in the mining and resources industry with a focus on bulk earthworks and concrete. A collaborative approach, with proven ability to work in a team. Knowledge of legislation, standards and guidance, processes and practices related to systems engineering for rail or infrastructure projects.
