Senior Project Engineer - Bulk Earthworks

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer - Earthworks to join our client for the delivery of a major piece of civil infrastructure in Brisbane / Gold Coast. Due to continued growth, this is a newly created role due to the volume of work, with 2.5 years left on this major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will work closely with the client managing a large package of earthworks on this huge site. The scope includes earthworks, road works, and office facilities.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Design: Oversee all aspects of earthworks and roadworks, ensuring designs meet project and environmental standards. Contractual Management: Manage contract negotiations, administration, and compliance with project timelines and milestones. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and report on financial forecasts. Operational Planning: Collaborate with teams to coordinate logistics, manage community impacts, and ensure environmental compliance. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government bodies, contractors, and community stakeholders for seamless project delivery. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering high performance and ensuring safety across all activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, including 5 years in roadworks and heavy civil projects. Strong project management, contract administration, and financial acumen. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools. Work Conditions: Monday to Friday role with the occasional Saturday. Field and office-based work environments.
