ABOUT THE ROLE As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the business by providing technical direction to the maintenance and project teams, improves existing electrical infrastructure and ensures that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings and process flow. 
You will also develop company standards for use throughout Norton and assist that all statutory obligations are managed and recorded. The Senior Electrical engineer will support the maintenance team with fault finding, condition monitoring improvement projects and major upgrades and equipment procurement.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS Design, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, or systems. Utilize Power Systems knowledge and software such as ETAP for modeling. Participate in project stages from studies to commissioning, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget. Collaborate effectively within teams to contribute to decision-making and problem-solving. Assist in managing HSEQ aspects of personnel, projects, and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with Australian and International Standards, Codes, and Legislative Requirements, including AS3000. Other relevant duties as required by the Project Manager. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor degree in Electrical / Power Engineering (Essential) Min 5 years post grad experience (Essential) Satisfactory NPC clearance (Essential) Valid work visa, permanent residency or Australian citizenship (Essential) SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WORK KNOWLEDGE:
Previous mining experience min 2 years LV/ HV experience  Protection Systems COMPUTER SKILLS:
AutoCad Experience in MS Project, word and excel. TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Strong communication skills are required for this roll. BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:
Leadership and teamwork. Results (best-for-project) orientated and proactive. Able to maintain composure under all circumstances. Keen interest to develop experience, skills and ability. Reliability, ownership, responsibility and accountability. BENEFITS Permanent full-time role with immediate start Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances Receive $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO. Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location. Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary. A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover. A fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance or allowance up to $2.4k. Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.
