We are looking for a Senior Project Controller to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
As the Senior Project Controller, you will be responsible for performing rigorous cost management and controls (forecasting, cost variance analysis and minimisation, identification of cost irregularities, change and contingency control, continuous improvement, project health checks and reporting) for assigned Delivery capital Network Prescribed and Lumea projects. The role has shared project management accountability for contributing to the project(s) to remain within the bounds of approved funding and delivery targets.
The Senior Project Controller works very closely with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers fulfilling cost management and project controls requirements. You will also work collaboratively with Project Engineering, Development and Design, Planning, Commercial & Contract Management, Construction, and different disciplines and streams to ensure financial health, successful delivery of the capital projects and to drive satisfactory controls outcomes.
About you Tertiary qualifications in a closely-related discipline (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce or similar)Specialised extensive experience in project controls having direct accountability for cost and forecast management, cost, change and contingency controls, budgeting and reporting for projects and programsExtensive experience of cost and project controls in a capital intensive industryHigh level proven stakeholder management, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skillsStrong financial acumen and excellent analytical and problem solving skillsFamiliarity with and experience in project and cost management standards and practices (such as AACE, PMBOK, etc.)Experience in power industry and large substation and transmission line projects as an advantageVery strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel, and reporting and analyticsStrong experience in other project controls reporting and analysis tools and systemsRecognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
