We currently have an opportunity for a driven and ambitious procurement professional looking for a challenge in their career to join our team as a Senior Project Buyer, supporting the Signalling and Infrastructure projects across ANZ.
Based in our Perth CBD office and offering hybrid working conditions, you will be welcomed into an experienced, passionate team and leadership group.
This is initially a 2-years fixed term position to join the Procurement team in supporting one of Alstom's largest signalling projects, working closely with the project team and supporting procurement activities.
Responsibilities: Lead the negotiations and stakeholder engagement to share relevant information and updates to team members.Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.Lead project negotiation as per Australian and UK Standards.Consolidate the commodity needs and inputs.Participate actively in commodity strategy and panel elaboration.Support global supplier panel relationship.Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances).Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and our customer.Define Procurement strategy and support make or buy decisions.Key Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role within sourcing/procurement.Operational understanding and knowledge of rail parts or design or components.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Experience in the Railway industry and/or Turnkey Projects from a similar, industrial type industry.A demonstrated background of managing maintenance projects.An agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
