As the Senior Project and Branch Support Officer, you will play a critical role in leading the development and improvement of business processes and systems to improve the functions and operations of the Governance, Assurance and Information Management Branch.

Reporting to the Executive Director, your role will be responsible for providing high-level executive support, along with supporting and advising the branch on projects, improvements, strategies, and plans.
You will also lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to service quality standards, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Ability in managing projects and resolving issues using an innovative problem-solving approach.Leadership skills and success, with the ability to work within and manage successful teams in line with the broader objectives of the Executive Director, Governance, Assurance and Information Management Branch, and the Department of Health's values.Ability to provide timely and quality HR, finance, and business services advice in the management of continuous improvement programs and initiatives to support the Office of the Executive Director.Highly developed communication and engagement skills, including the ability to build internal and external relationships, provide advice, effectively influence, and collaborate with stakeholders in achieving business goals in a large complex business.High level of proficiency in a broad range of contemporary electronic systems including the Microsoft Office suite, electronic records management systems, and other databases.Ability to manage sensitive matters, be responsive, well organized, and manage time and competing priorities effectively while ensuring attention to detail.Ability to operate independently and as part of a team with flexibility and creativity in line with the broader objectives of the Executive Director, Governance, Assurance and Information Management Branch, and the Department of Health's values.About us The Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
