Be responsible for providing financial management and have oversight of assigned programs encompassing establishment, pricing of minor change proposals, monthly reporting and compliance to company policies and procedures.The GemLife development managers should ultimately maintain overall knowledge of the key cost drivers at each site to ensure performance to expectation, but the Senior Project Accountant has an oversight of all budgets and spend and so is responsible for providing cost control technical expertise through timely monitoring, controlling, analysing and reporting of project cost & progress information with a strong focus on trending, forecasting and management of change to contribute towards proactively influencing cost outcomes on the project.
Also have responsibility for maintaining, controlling, and reporting project expenditure, cost forecast, and schedules of site work activities of major projects allocated to the Development and Project Managers.Skills requiredA qualification in Business Management, Accounting, or equivalent relative work experience.CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded.At least 5 years' experience in finance, with exposure to project accounting/job costing within a construction organisation.Demonstrated experience in developing systems, procedures, and leading improvement initiatives.Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.With a people-focused communication style, building relationships, negotiating with and influencing a range of stakeholders is how you get things done.Experience with cost management tool is essential and exposure to Databuild and Technology One would be a distinct advantage – however, training will be provided for the right individual.This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team, known for their dedication but also, they thrive on friendly competition and tackle challenges with enthusiasm!
