About the role We are currently recruiting for a Senior Program/Project Manager to join our Essential Water team.
Reporting to the Head of Water, the Senior Program/Project Manager is accountable for the professional and strategic program/ project management and leadership including end to end delivery of specific projects or programs of capital and/or operational works within time, cost and schedule parameters in support of Essential Water's Strategic Business Objectives and Strategic Asset Management Plans.
The Senior Program/Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of specialist program initiatives, project, contract management services, with accountability for safe and efficient delivery including the support of defined works programs and projects through to engagement of complex and specialist contractors.
About You You will be a highly experienced construction professional with a strong background in project and program management.. Your expertise includes negotiating and overseeing complex projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and developing impactful business cases. With extensive skills in contract administration and compliance, you excel in monitoring contractor performance and implementing strategies for improvement. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to align resources effectively across the organisation, while your competencies in cost control, risk management, and stakeholder engagement drive successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications Degree in Engineering/Project Management Diploma in Project Management Practice or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications with some form of Project Management certification (e.g. PMI PMP or PRINCE2) Contract Management/Construction Health and Safety qualifications Auditing experience Driver's License Workcover Induction for Construction Work (White Card) Why Essential Water We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 11.5% superannuation.
