Senior Program Officers, Communications and EngagementFull timeThe Senior Program Officer roles within the Communications and Engagement Team require a high level of cultural competency to ensure communications and engagement approaches are culturally appropriate and tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences.The role manages a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships and networks. These roles are responsible for:Establishing and managing workflowsLiaising across the remote employment branch to understand and ensure business needs are metThe development and implementation of communications and engagement strategies and plans.The role includes the following duties:Assist with the development and implementation of communications and engagement strategies and plans for remote employment programs and services for diverse audiences.Work across the branch to identify communication and engagement needs and lead the planning of communication and engagement approaches, including identifying aims, objectives and required outputs.Assist with the coordination of communication and engagement projects from ideation through to implementation, including strategy, design, content production and media planning.Manage the allocation of job tasks related to communications and engagement service offering.Facilitate coordination of communication and engagement activities across the Agency, particularly with regional offices.Ensure NIAA messaging and communication and engagement activities are consistent and align with NIAA Corporate Plan, vision and organisational priorities.Ensure communication and engagement processes are maintained and advise on issues and business improvements.Evaluation and data gathering to measure impacts of communication and engagement activities, inform improvements and better understand stakeholder needs and effectiveness of communications.The role also develops and manages supplier relationships through procurement contracts and requires a sound knowledge of procurement processes.Our Ideal Candidate:We are looking for candidates who have professional experience in communications, media and marketing. Previous experience engaging and working with remote communities is preferred.To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:Experience delivering high quality written and visual communication products.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships through collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and positively with First Nations peoples and communities.Well developed organisational skills, including the ability to adapt and change to manage competing priorities.
