The Senior Program Manager, Forest and Fire Management is responsible for overseeing FFOD's primary planned programs that reduce bushfire risk and deliver post-emergency recovery and forest management works.
You will ensure that FFOD meets its primary forest and fire program delivery obligations for planned burning, mechanical fuel treatment, cultural fire, Strategic Fuel Breaks, roading maintenance, and forest management.
You will also ensure that FFOD's forest and fire programs are appropriately planned, published, and communicated through the JFMP and OFMP.
To achieve this, you will ensure effective governance and budget management, monitoring and reporting requirements are in place, ensure government and departmental program targets are incorporated into regional delivery plans, lead stakeholder engagement, set standards, and provide direction.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Tertiary qualification(s) including qualification(s) in natural resource or environmental management, public policy, or similar is desirable.Significant experience in delivering large scale operational programs in a public sector environment.This is an ongoing position.
