This permanent, full-time position can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, or Burnie. Our Addictions services provide support for those affected by alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions across Tasmania.
Our services provide support not just to those who are experiencing problem behaviours, but also for those directly impacted, such as friends and families.
About the Role: This role provides coordination, line supervision, and practice supervision to a group of Practitioners within the following domains of practice:
Health and Wellbeing - AddictionsHealth and Wellbeing - Mental HealthFinancial Resilience and WellbeingHousingThis results in people accessing our support experiencing an excellent service relevant to their needs.
To be successful you will have: An understanding of the processes people utilize to overcome adversity/distress when facing life challenges;Provide line and practice supervision to a group of staff in a manner consistent with Anglicare's values, practice principles, and workplace principles;Knowledge of practices relating to service delivery to people with a range of barriers and issues;An understanding of the Anglicare practice framework and other standards relevant to the Community Services Sector;Effective time management with the ability to develop, implement, and coordinate activities of a group of workers;Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills with: people who access our services, family/carers, colleagues, other service providers, and stakeholders;Experience with financial and other record management;Demonstrated experience with information and communication technologies;Relevant degree-level qualifications (Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health), and clearly demonstrated experience or extensive experience deemed to be the equivalent;Specific skills in any of the following areas:Previous experience in a service management role in health or human services;Experience in providing services within a practice framework;The Senior Program Manager – Addictions and Gamblers Help: Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of a state-wide group of Practitioners within the wider Community Services team, including the facilitation of aligned processes, practices, and learning.Undertake a range of duties within the work area, including developing work practices and procedures; problem definition, planning, and the exercise of judgement; provide advice on policy matters and contribute to their development.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to group members.Provide a range of opportunities for people accessing our services and seeking our support to be actively involved in decision-making processes related to service design, continuing development, service quality, and promoting broader social change.Contribute to organisational developments including strategic planning, development of practice, and working collaboratively with other Program Managers across the state to create consistency with regard to best practice and innovation.Participate in and support the General Manager - Community Services in the ongoing development and evaluation of the provision of services in consultation with people seeking our support, family members, other services, and other team members; this includes but is not limited to quality assurance strategies and service reviews.Maintain databases and prepare reports as required by Anglicare.What we offer you: An attractive salary of $107,731 to $112,473Not-for-profit salary packaging available that can increase your take-home payA 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline;A friendly and supportive work environment.If you are interested in applying for the position, please click 'Apply'.

The successful applicant will be required to: Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check.Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;Provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical;Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver's Licence.On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
