About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Planner – Process & Governance, to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, Adelaide location. You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, reporting to Production Planning Lead, and will be employed on a permanent full time basis.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world's most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program."
Key responsibilities include: Provide production planning process frameworks, functioning toolsets, production planning process improvements, and associated governance and reporting, ensuring an effective planning process Development production planning processes and procedures, work instructions and production reports Perform production planning activities Develop planning frameworks for planning build configurations and verifications Develop on-boarding frameworks for new production planning team members Train the production planning team in the effective use of planning toolsets Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture Champion the production planning process and governance activities, ensuring quality planning standards/outcomes of the business are achieved About YOU
Production Planning experience and experience working in a production/manufacturing/engineering/project controls environment Experience using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and toolsets and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems Good computer skills and experience utilising the Microsoft Office Suite Self-starter and the drive to improve current processes and solve problems The ability to read and interpret technical drawings Good communication and stakeholder management skills, the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within large teams We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
