Key responsibilities; Drive internal idea generation and analyze external market and regulatory trends to inform investment product strategy.
Collaborate with Investment and Distribution teams to design innovative and marketable investment products that leverage existing capabilities and optimize commercialization timing.
Identify and address capability gaps in the product lineup, evaluating the opportunity costs of focusing on specific sectors.
Assess inorganic expansion opportunities to create long-term investment solutions for the retail and institutional markets, including optimal partnership models.
Clearly articulate the investment contributions, performance drivers, risks, and challenges associated with each product while benchmarking against market peers.
Contribute to the development of a robust reporting framework on product capabilities (risk/return measures) and present strategic insights to leadership and boards.
Collaborate with Research and Asset Consultant teams to enhance the ratings process and ensure comprehensive feedback on quantitative and qualitative data.
Explore potential opportunities for medium to long-term expansion into international markets to enhance product offerings.
To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience in investment product strategy, with a strong track record in designing and launching successful investment products.
In-depth knowledge of market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive landscape in the financial services sector.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess product performance, identify capability gaps, and evaluate opportunity costs.
Excellent negotiation and partnership-building skills, with experience in managing strategic relationships and collaborations.
Ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, including leadership and boards.
Familiarity with Responsible Investment principles and a commitment to integrating them into product strategy.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are preferred, along with a strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field.
