What you'll do: Ensure product service life reliability testing is undertaken for components and products ensuring that Electrolux standards and specifications are maintained.Conduct routine product audits of manufactured products and ensure that factory processes deliver the required quality standards for both performance and fit and finish.Define, conduct, and evaluate tests to ensure that cost reduction projects meet specified requirements.Work with R&D/PC regarding product development for test plans and quality verification plans creation to ensure all engineering changes are correctly validated.Complete product quality risk assessments with appropriate risk mitigation plans.Be responsible for assembled product and component level performance and validation test requirements. Create validation plans and report records for each work request.Control material testing to meet internal and external customer requirements, including durability, strength, flammability, structure, or chemical properties.Conduct analysis for defective components, including field returned products.Support containment of field concerns with corrective actions, as required.Contribute to the purchased part approval process to ensure that all parts conform to Electrolux specifications and requirements.Monitor that all products and components meet all statutory and regulatory requirements regarding product safety and fitness for purpose.Assist and develop suppliers' ability to analyze the quality and reliability aspects of supplied products ensuring maintenance of supplier quality performance to meet Electrolux requirements.Support New Product Introductions through meeting attendance, product auditing, and part approvals.Ensure all Quality responsible project Check Point deliverables are met in line with project timing.Support business deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinate work programs, decide on courses of action necessary to successfully accomplish assigned projects, review test and audit results, and determine corrective actions.Regularly review and supervise staff and provide support and direction where necessary.Core Competencies: Analytical - With an eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data, you can also translate this into meaningful, useful information that informs decision-making.Collaborative - You ask, and you listen, you take ideas on board and work with your team, taking everyone in the same direction.Adaptable - With several projects running simultaneously, flexibility and agility are essential.Influential - You know your stuff and can articulate it well, building a credible case that is sound and people can buy into.Open-minded - For you, every challenge offers opportunity and potential. The rest is a bonus.Ambitious - You always strive for better, in your work and for your future.Who You Are: Sound knowledge of engineering concepts and materials.Sound understanding of quality assurance principles (8D, 6 Sigma ISO 9001).Knowledge of local product approval standards is an advantage.An understanding of Australian electrical and gas regulatory standards is an advantage.Knowledge of testing methodologies (DOE, statistical methodologies).Good written, verbal communication, report writing, and presentation skills.You will be based in our Dudley Park, Adelaide manufacturing facility, within the Research and Development team.
