Role – Senior Product Owner2 year Fixed Term position

How will I help?As a Senior Product Owner at Westpac Group, you'll represent the voice of the customer and be a key driver in delivering exceptional customer credit card journeys across all brands. You'll lead product development efforts, working within agile release trains to deliver high-value customer features and innovative solutions that align with business needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining and delivering across large change programs in the Credit Card teamsPrioritising and managing the product strategy and backlog, identifying optimisation opportunities, and driving new initiatives.Facilitating Big Room Planning and refining epic benefits throughout product delivery.Collaborating with business, technical, and external stakeholders to align on vision, resolve blockers, and facilitate ideation.Defining and communicating customer acceptance criteria and ensuring delivery of customer and business value.Leading agile planning, including Program Increment (PI) and sprint planning.Acting as the bridge between customers and technical teams, translating customer needs into features and user stories.Contributing to the Digital & CF product vision and identifying opportunities for customer-centric innovation.Driving agile culture, empowering self-organising squads, and contributing to the Digital Product Owner Guild.What's in it for me?You'll play a pivotal role in shaping Westpac Group's customer credit card experience, driving innovation and delivering solutions that meet both customer and business needs. What do I need?To be successful in this role, you'll have:
5+ years' experience in digital strategy, product, marketing, business development, or related roles in a large corporate environment (preferably in financial services, retail, or similar industries).Strong communication, networking, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage expectations across diverse teams and stakeholders.A proven track record in delivering quality customer features that align with customer and business objectives.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and foster teamwork in dynamic environments.Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to align objectives with strategic priorities.Thorough understanding of customer needs, including regulatory, risk, and IT security requirements.Expertise in managing squad backlogs and delivering features within an agile framework.Experience in identifying and driving innovation opportunities aligned with business strategy.What's it like to work there?We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities, and each other.
