As we are a newly formed function in an organisation at the start of a complex, multi-year transformation, you'll need to thrive in an often ambiguous environment and be equipped with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
What You'll Do: Strategic Leadership: Lead the transformation of VicRoads' payment and billing systems, replacing outdated technologies with cutting-edge solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience. Product Vision and Roadmap: Define a clear vision and roadmap for VicRoads' future payment and billing platforms, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and adaptable to the evolving needs of our customers and organisation. Innovate & Collaborate: Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders – think customers, technology, legal teams, project managers and state government representatives – to evaluate and deliver new product ideas that resonate with market trends and customer needs. Be a Market Analyst: Drive market research, analyse customer segments and formulate compelling business cases that validate new product opportunities. Own the Results: Oversee the budgeting, financial performance, and ROI of the payment and billing transformation project, ensuring cost-effective implementation and sustainable operations. What you bring: 5-10 years of experience managing product portfolios with a proven track record of launching successful products and hitting financial targets. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to navigate our competitive landscape. Experience in organisations undergoing transformational change. Experience working within technology delivery teams, UX/UI designers, and go-to-market teams to create digital experiences that resonate. A passion for leading a team and creating a values-driven environment that attracts top talent. Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager in payment, billing, or fintech transformation, ideally within large organisations.
