Senior Product Manager, Japan Consumer InnovationAmazon is looking for a Senior Product Leader to drive the roadmap and implementation for Listings and Item Data Quality (IDQ) improvements. As the Senior Product Manager for Listings and IDQ Strategy at JCI, you will lead the strategic vision and execution for improving the holistic product listing experience and catalog data quality for JP vendors. This is a pivotal role in driving transformational change to unlock selection growth and enhance the customer shopping experience. Our vision is to unlock selection for customers by providing a seamless and intuitive listings creation and catalog management experience for all JP vendors. Our goal is to help our vendors more easily create high-quality and compelling product pages for Amazon's store, which appeal to the right customers and help drive sales.
You are a creative problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You'll be responsible for developing the technology strategy and vision to enable our vendors to scale their business in JP and globally. You will work closely with product families, engineering, design, product, operations, finance, and executive teams across the consumer organization to identify vendor pain points and growth blockers, develop and deliver with central teams and our own engineering team to build simple scalable technology solutions to complex multi-faceted challenges. You will proactively identify and resolve strategic issues and lead the teams delivering the solutions.
This is a high visibility leadership role that will include interaction with senior leaders and teams across Amazon, requiring a strong ability to communicate effectively JP/WW Retail needs and understand the different perspectives and technical challenges faced by our engineers to simplify the experience for vendors. The tools you build to help vendors will in turn drive revenue and growth for our business and theirs. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving technology and product innovation and solving complex problems in a constantly evolving space. You should have extensive experience leading large-scale technology organizations, developing mechanisms that enable you to scale yourself, relationships, and the resources you have while delivering and maintaining high-quality systems and experiences. You should also be a thought leader and be comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesDrive the 3-year vision and roadmap for streamlining the listing creation and catalog management experience for JP vendors, leveraging the latest generative AI capabilities.Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new vendor-facing features and tools, including a Progressive Listing Experience powered by LLMs.Own the holistic measurement and improvement of IDQ for the JP catalog, transitioning from a defect-focused strategy to a composite data quality metric that aligns with customer expectations.Collaborate cross-functionally with central teams to establish a centralized and cohesive strategy for addressing vendor pain points around listings and catalog management.Ensure tight alignment with JP legal, compliance, and stakeholder teams to navigate risks and secure buy-in for ambitious GenAI-powered initiatives.Drive vendor and seller engagement to gather feedback, pilot new experiences, and drive adoption of solutions.Develop a data-driven roadmap, set ambitious yet achievable goals, and demonstrate the business impact of your work.Partner with UX, engineering, science, and operations teams to translate strategic priorities into impactful product deliverables.Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end-to-end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
