We're Littlepay - a growing fintech headquartered in Melbourne with operations in the UK, EU, LATAM, USA, and more recently, Australia. Our payments platform enables our customers to pay for public transport using any payment card, mobile wallet, or wearable device. Processing over 100 million transactions in 13 countries and continuing to expand globally, we're proud to move more people through better payment experiences. Our Littlepay values: Trust and be trustworthy Embrace challenge Solve problems, together Deliver with speed and agility Be candid and kind At Littlepay, our passion is to make payment journeys effortless, both in-person via contactless and online via web and mobile checkouts. The Product team sits at the heart of achieving our ambitious vision and goals. We're looking for a customer-focused, strategic Product Manager in Melbourne to work closely with our partners and merchants and internally with our technical and business stakeholders to help shape the future of transit payments. As a custodian of the customer, you will work closely with our teams to identify new problems, initiate ideas, and deliver new and innovative solutions - from core payments processing to enable our transit merchants to accept contactless bank cards and devices to a slick transaction and customer analytics. You will also support integrations in and out of our platform, whether it be contactless readers, acquiring banks, or payment networks. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, you will act as the conduit between Product, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial to understand desired customer and stakeholder outcomes, gather requirements, and then articulate the required propositions and functionality that can be implemented in an agile manner. Day to day, you'll: Own and consistently maintain your product strategy, horizons and roadmap to ensure your portfolio maintains the competitive edge required to deliver consistent market value and ROI Continue to build a solid understanding of the transit payment market, operators, partners, merchants, and processing schemes. Work closely with partners, merchants and the Commercial team to identify gaps and opportunities to enhance our existing capabilities or build new ones. Analyse and communicate business insights to internal and external stakeholders Deliver required specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and produce designs/models where needed Work with technical teams to write technical user stories and acceptance criteria. Do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful, whether that means hunting down the root cause of a user's frustration or identifying an innovative solution that will delight them. Obsess both continuous product improvement and shipping new product features Be excited about scaling our products to help build a customer-driven product that will revolutionise digital commerce for transit. Collaborate with colleagues from other product areas, engineering, projects, and operations to drive and deliver successful outcomes and value. Requirements About you Ideally, you'll have: Five years + of proven hands-on technical product development and management experience with payment industry exposure (bonus for transit industry experience) An innate curiosity and desire to solve complex problems Solid technical knowledge, capable of exploring and understanding technical issues inclusive of APIs and payment processing Experience working in Agile teams running Kanban or Scrum while respecting the need for compliance (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS) Good knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Miro, Notion, QuickSight Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to work under pressure, multitask and consistently meet tight deadlines Superb communication skills, ability to interact with multidisciplinary stakeholders A bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science or a related technical field is advantageous Our recruitment process If you've been shortlisted for the role, you'll first have a chat with our Talent team, who will set up an interview if the stars align. A short workplace preferences questionnaire will also be sent to help us learn more about the way you prefer to work. Following a successful first interview, you'll meet with a second set of Littlepay folks, and be invited to participate in the final stage before being presented with an offer. If you have any questions regarding the recruitment process or if you require any accommodations for any stage in the interview process, please don't hesitate to let us know. Additionally, if you don't meet all of the criteria (we know that some underrepresented groups tend to avoid applying if they don't), please still apply. We really enjoy meeting people who might bring a fresh perspective on a problem we need to solve! Ultimately, being part of our small but mighty team means you'll have the opportunity to learn about micropayments, and have a hand in the provision of services that impact millions of people. You'll help us deliver on our revolutionary product roadmap and help scale our platform as we continue to expand across the globe. Benefits We love to look after our people. At Littlepay, you'll be part of an inclusive and diverse team that celebrates the differences and unique gifts we each bring to work. You'll have access to: A high trust working environment, with usage of cloud collaboration tools like Notion, Slack, Miro, Gmail and Jira that help us work together effectively Paid professional development (including conferences, courses, learning subscriptions, etc.) Harrison Assessments - our talent management provider that facilitates continuous professional development A variety of flexible leave options (including annual, personal, volunteer, parental, grandparental, gender affirmation, and more) Superannuation contributions on all paid parental leave payments A company-wide paid day off Our flexible public holiday program Flexible (hybrid) working conditions Wellbeing support- including a free School of Life subscription for all employees, and counselling via the School of Life (UK) or our EAP program (Australia) Our generous employee referral program Mid-year, quarterly, and end-of-year corporate and team events and workshops Short-term remote working arrangements International travel opportunities (dependent on role) You'll also be able to take up the numerous other benefits that working at Littlepay affords you - including being part of a growing community of innovators at Stone and Chalk, where we enjoy lunch 'n' learns, summertime barbeques, ping pong tournaments, fortnightly drinks, catered breakfasts and morning teas, and more.
